Hannah Schlegel, LM, CPM

Hannah is the founder and owner of Woom Midwifery based in Albion, California. She is licensed to practice midwifery under the Medical Board of California and certified by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) as a Certified Professional Midwife. Her formal education consisted of three years at the National Midwifery Institute and two clinical home birth apprenticeships in California and Utah. Hannah has attended hundreds of births in the home, hospital and birth center settings.  Prior to becoming a Licensed Midwife, Hannah ran a bustling doula practice in the Bay Area for ten years. Hannah is certified in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), CPR and First Aid.  In 2017, Hannah & her partners opened Oakland Birth & Wellness, a midwifery office and community space that closed due to the pandemic.
